To honour Rick’s memory, we are raising funds to support life-changing medical research through The Common Good.
The Scott family warmly welcomes donations to help advance vital research into chronic lung disease and lung transplantation. Your generosity will contribute to improving treatments and outcomes for future patients facing similar challenges.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all those who supported Rick—and our family—throughout his journey with Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). From the early days of diagnosis to the long and uncertain wait for a lung transplant, and finally through the immense challenges he faced in Intensive Care, your love, care, and strength lifted us in our most difficult moments.
Our heartfelt thanks goes to the dedicated doctors, nurses, and hospital staff who cared for Rick with such compassion and skill. We are profoundly grateful to Dr. Michael Fanning and the Respirology Team, the Queensland Lung Transplant Service team, and the Intensive Care Unit staff at The Prince Charles Hospital, Chermside. Your commitment to his care gave Rick the chance to fight with dignity and hope.
