A BIG thank you!

Thanks to our generous community of supporters, Giving Day raised an incredible $205,150.

There's still time to GIVE BIG and help care for the hospital that cares for our community.

TOGETHER, WE RAISED $205,150!

What an incredible result for The Prince Charles Hospital's sixth annual Giving Day!

Thanks to the generosity of our community, hospital staff, corporate partners and supporters, The Common Good is excited to announce that together we've raised an amazing $205,150 to help make a meaningful difference for patients and families.

These funds will help provide Comfort Packs with everyday essentials and thoughtful items for vulnerable patients who arrive at hospital without their belongings, alongside a Laughter Care pilot program using humour, music and storytelling to support the emotional wellbeing and connection of older patients.

A special thank you to our Giving Day Community Ambassador, Big Jon, for sharing his story and helping inspire others to GIVE BIG.

And to everyone who donated, volunteered, shared our messages or helped make Giving Day BIGGER than ever – THANK YOU!

Together, we're helping care for the hospital that cares for our community.

Thank you to our generous Matched Giving partners

Your donation to Giving Day 2026 will be matched by a group of BIG-HEARTED supporters

Here’s how you can care for the hospital that cares for your community.

Bring twice the comfort

$32 = $64

Older patients often find themselves in hospital without anything from home. You can help provide Comfort Packs filled with clothes, toiletries and activities, to vulnerable patients.

Double your support for research

$74 = $148

Your gift can help researchers looking to improve treatments for heart and lung diseases and conditions associated with mental health and ageing.

Bring more joy and laughter

$289 = $578

You can support evidence-based therapies like Laughter Care, helping older patients feel connected, valued and less alone during their hospital stay.

“What does care at The Prince Charles Hospital mean to me? It’s the reason I’m here today.”

- 'Big Jon'

Big Jon is a big man with a big heart. He also an autoimmune disease that constantly threatens his life.

Over the past 15 years, Jon has had more than 400 admissions to ‘Charlies’. He’s had multi-organ failure, lost a leg and had sepsis more than 25 times.

But when he’s not having treatment, Big Jon is giving back to the hospital that has given him such compassionate care and kept him with his family. This Giving Day, he’d love your help.

Please join with Big Jon to GIVE BIG this Giving Day.

“Giving Day’s all about raising money for research, equipment and the over-and-above stuff. It’s about supporting the amazing doctors and nurses who give patients like me a second chance.”
